3DSets Buggy Build Kits

Build Kits for the 3DSets Buggy/Buggster and Sandy 3D printed Volkswagen Buggy RC Car.  We have various different build kits available including: 

• Fastener Only Kit
• Fastener and Bearing Kit 
• Fastener/Bearing/Servo Kit
• Fastener/Bearing/Servo/Belts Kit
• Fastener/Bearings/Servo/Belts/Motor+ESC

Kits include all necessary fasteners and/or bearings for building the Model 7: Buggy, Model 8: Buggster, or Model 11: Sandy according to the designers build guide. All of our Buggy Kits come with the extra screws required to build either Wheels A, B, C or D, whichever you prefer.

Each Fastener Kit contains 300-450 metric fastener parts with some extras for every type of screw required. The M2 screws in our 3DSets RC kits are black class 12.9 steel as they are used mostly for the attachment of body parts and they blend well with the design. All m3 screws which are used mostly for the chassis and suspension are 304 stainless steel for enhanced corrosion resistance. Sockets on all screws including button head (round/pan), countersunk and socket (cylindrical) screws are hexagonal.

Each kit with Bearings contains 20 high-speed 10x15x4mm rubber sealed bearings (6700rs) with Z2 precision rating for low noise. There are a few different versions of the buggy that you could build and the 20 bearings should cover you regardless of which version you choose.

For kits that include a Servo we also include one 20KG Digital Servo (DS3218) with metal gears and an aluminum metal servo arm which is perfect for the Buggy model.

Each kit that includes Belts will also include 4 timing belts to fit the 3D Sets Buggy model drivetrain. This includes 2-60XL (30 tooth) drive belts and 2-80XL (40 tooth) drive belts in 6.35mm (1/4 inch) width. Belts are constructed out of Neoprene rubber with a fiberglass core.

Each kit that includes Motor+ESC will include one C3530 1400KV Brushless Outrunner Motor by Surpass Hobby and one 16BL30 30A Brushless ESC by Hobbywing. This is the recommended brushless motor and ESC combination for the 3DSets Buggy and Buggster and works well from our internal testing.

OUR KITS DO NOT COME WITH THE 3D PRINTED PLASTIC PARTS TO BUILD THE MODEL. YOU NEED TO 3D PRINT THOSE YOURSELF. OUR KITS ONLY COME WITH THE PARTS LISTED ABOVE TO ASSIST YOU IN YOUR BUILD AND OTHER PARTS WILL LIKELY BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE YOUR BUILD.
